Helps your delicious skincare products like your Organic Bioactive Light Worker be absorbed into the skin.
Yes everyone needs this product

We have made our Hydrating Booster Serum as a really juicy formula with lots of hydration added with Cucumber & Kawakawa extract (along with the Hyaluronic Acid) which gives your skin the hit of moistness it needs! - this product differs from other Hyaluronic Acids because its blended with these yummy extracts to ensure the HA is drawing in their dewy goodness in - rather than drying your skin out (which some HA can do if the environment it is drawing from is dry). This is your foundation serum primer that you need to apply (after cleansing of course) FIRST in order of your skincare routine.

The secret ingredient we include here (now not so secret!)is Ho Leaf essential oil - it’s a tissue regenerator- beneficial for treating ageing skin or with dry, sensitive or inflamed skin. Not only those physical benefits but it’s also known to treat anxiety, nervous tension & stress. It’s pretty vital in this brew.

We still recommend following with a moisturiser and or oil to lock it in - the Hyaluronic Acid draws from its environment so during less humid months (winter) it is wise to be dosing your skin with the added moisture to be transported into the skin.

This product will really help your Light Worker or Night Magic Bioactive Moisturiser go the distance!

Tip: Once you have applied the serum, rub the remnants into hands too - they also can do with this satin-feel hydration!

What is Hyaluronic Acid?

HA is a naturally occurring molecule found throughout almost every fluid and tissue in our bodies, primarily in the skin, eyes, and joints. In fact, approximately 50% of the total HA resides in the skin. As we get older, our bodies stores of hyaluronic acid declines - and not only age, but environmental factors too like pollution can decrease it in our skin.

So - luckily there is a natural hyaluronic acid we can add to our skin made from bacterial fermentation using corn-derived glucose. (not the rooster cone type!). This HA can absorb more than 1,000 times its weight in water - this is why it is the super-duper hydrator. Think of it like a big drink for the skin - just as you would if you had run a marathon and needed to gulp down some water, this is what it is in the skincare regime.

Cucumber Cellular Extract - not only soothing and cooling cucumber extract has a huge anti wrinkle ingredients - they contain both folic acid and vitamin C. Vitamin C has a remarkable ability to facilitate new cell growth, while folic acid helps fight off environmental toxins, which can make your skin look tired or age prematurely. Combined together, these components help your skin look healthier and firmer.

Kawakawa Extract - works to strengthen the skin, while restoring hydration and providing intense nourishment. It's perfect for skin prone to eczema and acne, or that which is either overly dry or oily, as it calms and restores balance upon application. It also assists in alleviating itchiness and redness!

This extract is made from premium Kawakawa leaves, harvested in Kawhia, Waikato by Mana Wahine who carry a lineage of Mātauranga Māori on how to approach and harvest botanicals in a sustainable and respectful process.

Ho Leaf - a tissue regenerator- beneficial for treating aging skin or with dry, sensitive or inflamed skin. This essential oil is antibacterial, anti fungal, antiviral. Also known to treat anxiety, nervous tension & stress.

Water, sodium hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid), Cucumber Extract (Cucumus sativus), Kawakawa Extract (Macropiper excelsum), Glycerin, Geogard 221, Ho Leaf (Cinnamomum camphora).

Cellular Extraction
Delivering “true to nature” hydrophilic plant profiles. Cellular Extraction harnesses the species’ water-soluble blueprint of phyto-compounds and their derivatives (the entourage), in their synergistic relationships, as they exist in the cell. Extracted rapidly under high pressure, this unique process maintain the molecules’ natural integrity. Committed to conscious manufacturing, Cellular Extracts are created using purified, deionised, rain-harvested water and less plant material than past processes to produce a natural extract, that is eco-sustainable, traceable to source, transparent in composition – delivering the brilliance of nature.

Geogard 221:

 benzyl alcohol & dehydroacetic acid.

A little more about Geogard 221

Although this might not be a natural ingredient by nature, it is derived from organic and natural materials -It's derived from fruit (usually cranberries and apricots), comes in the form of a colorless liquid, and has a slightly sweet scent. What it does is acts as a preservative in skincare and cosmetic products due to its antibacterial and anti-fungal properties. It also has antioxidant properties which protect against free-radical damage. This is a safe ingredient and is in the smallest part to this serum - it will not cause drying to your skin (especially not in this instance being the most juicy serum ever!).
